For uncontested debt recovery up to the value of £100,000:

• • We charge £500 – £650 plus VAT on average for sending a formal Pre-Action Protocol letter to the debtor and dealing with any payment received
  • If payment is not received, proceedings in the County Court can be considered.  We charge between £750 – £1,000 plus VAT on average for obtaining a default judgment
  • Once a CCJ is obtained, enforcement action can be taken.  We will advise you on the most suitable enforcement method.  Our charges vary depending on the type of enforcement used.  We charge between £400 – £1,250 plus VAT on average for enforcement methods that do not require a court hearing.

These estimates are just average prices, the actual costs will depend on a number of factors and we will advise you of the likely costs if you decide to instruct us.  The actual costs may be less or more than the average charges.

There may be other costs to pay, such as court fees, counsel’s fees, and enforcement costs and we will advise you of these.

In some cases you may be able to claim the costs you incur from the debtor.

For contested debt recovery up to the value of £100,000 we charge between £10,000– £30,000 plus VAT on average.  The actual costs will depend on a number of factors, such as the amount and complexity of issues raised in the defence, whether any interim applications are made, and whether the claim is disposed of at final hearing or at an earlier stage.
