Ben Monksummers graduated from Bournemouth University with an LL.B (Hons) Law Degree in 2014. Ben completed an extended degree including working on a year placement with a North Dorset Firm. During and after his degree, Ben worked for a reputable North Dorset Law Firm building up a wealth of practical work experience before undertaking a Masters Degree in European Energy and Climate Law at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Ben returned to Bournemouth University in 2016 to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice and then subsequently undertook a training contract and fully qualified as a Solicitor in January 2018.
Ben is a Partner and is based in our Frome office.
Whilst being an experienced property lawyer, Ben also has a specific and specialist knowledge relating to litigation and UK Firearms Legislation. This follows a notable career with the Great Britain Shooting Team, having previously competed at a world level, and his family currently run a registered firearms dealership. Ben advises clients on civil disputes relating to firearm and shotgun licensing matters and disputes with the licensing authorities as well as general firearms matters, shooting and sporting rights and advice to clubs and governing bodies.

Outside of work Ben is father of three, a keen Scouter and an avid vehicle and motorcycle enthusiast amongst other charitable work and appointments with various local charities and carnivals.
